Job Summary:

As Product Owner, you’ll work cross-functionally to identify, clarify, and document requirements and user stories for these platforms. Based on user data and feedback, stakeholder input, and overall company goals, you’ll prioritize these items and guide their progress through the sprint. Overall, your role will be critical in helping us improve the experience of premeds, medical students, and others in the medical education space as they progress toward becoming amazing physicians.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prioritize feature requests and incorporate into the product roadmap
• Groom and maintain the product backlogs for MedSchoolCoach’s tutoring and advising portals
• Work with internal and external developers, designers, and project managers to communicate requirements and acceptance criteria and help articulate the “why” behind them
• Track progress metrics (throughput, etc.) of sprints
• Assist in conducting and managing quality assurance while guiding improvements in automated testing coverage
• With others in the product and development teams, identify and implement improvements to our agile workflow
• Communicate with stakeholders about the progress and prioritization of items to ensure consistent visibility

Qualifications:

• Experience working as a product owner or product manager
• Ability to prioritize requests across multiple systems and user roles (student, tutor, admin, etc.)
• Ability to conceptualize and evaluate potential solutions to user pain points
• Strong project management skills
• Capacity for quick learning, flexibility, and interest in staying up-to-date on a changing industry
• Familiarity with the tutoring/admissions, test preparation, or e-learning markets is preferred
