We have an immediate opening for an Account Supervisor team lead to run critical pieces of our consumer brand, manage account teams and serve as a day-to-day client counselor. An account supervisor (or account director) oversees the success of all client programming including activations, events, media relations and social/digital (influencer) programs, providing strategy, counsel and direction to clients and the junior team.
You will manage and mentor senior account executives, account executives and other junior staff by conducting regular check-ins to continue to grow junior and mid-level staff, focusing on team morale, junior staffing and development, and leading the team in growth and success.
With your team leads, you will partner with agency cross-functional teams and resources regularly to develop and sell in incremental projects and services (e.g., creative, digital, research and insights, crisis counsel, etc.) and oversee the execution of workstreams. When appropriate, you will proactively network and attend conferences for clients, the team, and new business efforts. You will also participate in new business efforts serving as a key ideator and presenter. At this level, you have a strong grasp of staffing and client budgeting.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as a strategic voice and account lead for the client
- Lead ideation and execution of integrated campaigns, events and activations
- Drive media relations programs, helping the team to brainstorm new angles and overseeing from a strategic perspective
- Set performance standards for account teams
- Responsible for team deliverables and client communication
- Lead client calls and meetings
- Participate in staffing decisions (candidate interviews and hiring)
- Have a solid grasp on account profitability
- Create, review, and track program budgets
- Skilled at written and verbal communications
- Be a problem solver for the team
- Maintain strong media connections within your practice
- Participate in new business activities
- Represent M Booth on interagency teams (IATs) on behalf of clients
- Be a voracious consumer of media and pop culture with the ability to bring fresh thinking to client work
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of communications/marketing agency experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience managing the day-to-day of a team Experience managing teams and workflows across multiple clients and projects
- Experience and passion around sports, athletes, entertainment and celebrity partnerships
- Experience working on consumer brand clients, and exposure to corporate communications and issues/crisis strategies
