The Role
Lovevery is looking for an experienced eCommerce Growth & CRO Manager who has a deep understanding of DTC customer journeys and fundamental eCommerce analytics, in particular site conversion, that supports top-line company growth. The successful candidate will be able to drive strategic vision and insights for our commerce store as well as act as a key, cross-functional partner across several functional teams including: digital product and development, paid marketing, product marketing, business intelligence & web analytics, organic/SEO and UX/UI. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of eCommerce analytics and customer insights that ultimately translate into business requirements, store health prioritization and ongoing onsite CRO. First-hand experience in customer segmentation and experimentation are key attributes that set you apart from the rest.
The following attributes in a candidate are essential to success in this role:
- Passion for Data & Analytics — We have a lot of data to unpack and understand about our customers and their behaviors onsite. You are data savvy, confident in visual analytics suites and can dive into the data to understand trends, identify causations and understand impacts of customer-facing features. You are able to think big picture and factor both micro and macro dynamics into key strategic onsite recommendations that support driving new customer acquisition.
- eCommerce Fluency - You are an eCommerce ninja. You understand where on the site to optimize, remove points of friction for users and how to lean on UX/UI and other partner teams to get there. You can quickly identify trends and strategically pinpoint fluctuations in marketing performance that quickly turn into key recommendations that yield a best-in-class onsite shopping experience for customers.
- Communication and Project Management — Work ethic, responsiveness, and results orientation matter in every role at Lovevery. With everyone driving hard to achieve the company’s goals, it is critical to have strong communication and project planning skills as well as a structured approach to building repeatable and sustainable processes that is grounded in a customer-centric mindset. You excel at translating ideas, performance metrics, and processes into clear and audience appropriate presentations and documentation.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the eCommerce team in owning conversion rate (CR) and average order value (AOV) as well as additional key site metrics including, but not limited to: traffic, page-level performance, basket size, CTA click through rate and more.
- Monitor and regularly report on site performance for key ecommerce metrics; identifying trends along with causations over time. Work with data and development teams to integrate additional onsite data tracking, as needed.
- Own and obsess over site conversion rate and ongoing CRO. You will become the resident expert on conversion by traffic channel and understand what drives optimal performance for acquisition based on site entry as well as the overall conversion funnel.
- Support Lovevery’s internal AB testing program by way of identifying areas onsite to optimize. Develop the business case that supports testing prioritization and formulating the overall testing hypothesis.
- Work within the company CMS platform to oversee standing up of net-new, customer-facing experiences, through both AB testing and additional landing pages, that support both paid marketing channels as well as organic traffic growth.
- Act as a key eCommerce stakeholder when supporting the international growth of Loververy; ensuring optimizations are vetted, tested and implemented at a global scale in partnership with the tech & digital team.
- Partner closely with UX/UI to maximize website usability and customer experience across all device types; leading with a mobile-first mindset.
- Partner with product marketing to understand go-to-market strategies and timelines for both physical and digital product launches. Help define the onsite strategy supported by qualitative and quantitative user insights.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing or Business preferred
- Proven track record of overseeing CRO activities with a customer-first mindset
- Strength in working with remote teammates and collaborative problem solving
- Ability to understand key web analytic metrics, create reports and clearly communicate site performance insights using web analytics tools and visualization suites
- Innovative and curious mindset with the ability to recognize trends, identify causations and recommend strategic revenue growth and performance opportunities
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks at one time through excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Passion for improving customer experiences and driving data-based innovation
- Competencies in project management tools such as JIRA and Asana
- Ability to work and remain adaptable in a fluid, fast-paced environment
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience with a proven track record of success in an eCommerce role; ideally in DTC
- 5+ years digital marketing and/or combined CRO experience
- 3+ years Experience with Google Analytics and other visual analytics suites, such as Looker and Google Data Studio
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) solutions a must; such as Builder.io, Contentful and other self-service platforms
- Experience with subscription-based eCommerce models a plus
