The role & what’s the opportunity?
We are a company striving to create world-class physical products, web and mobile experiences for our customers. We are looking for a Vice President of Product to help us create a new type of e-commerce and community experience that delivers value to the user beyond selling physical products. This enthusiastic leader will help create the technical vision and digital and technical product roadmap for Lovevery. This role reports to the Group VP of Technology and partners closely with the Founders.
Responsibilities
- You will build and lead a successful product organization that will deliver X and drive results cross-functionally with software engineering, UX, data and marketing teams.
- You own the product strategy, roadmap and requirements for Lovevery’s ecommerce subscription platform
- You deeply understand our customers, their problems and advocate for how we can improve the overall customer experience
- You collaborate closely with marketing, physical product development and other stakeholders to bring new products to market
- You drive complex initiatives by defining project plans, managing risks/scope and ensuring cross-functional alignment.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of technical and/or digital product management experience within a high growth ecommerce company with a subscription business model.
- Built a digital product management function and successfully managed a product roadmap and delivered measurable business results leveraging a modern, agile delivery model and design thinking methodologies.
- Understand core technologies utilized in their product domain and is fluent in pros and cons of technical alternatives.
- Experience identifying business opportunities, building a product strategy, and influencing delivery against a multi-year roadmap.
- Proven ability to identify and map technology solutions to product problems with demonstrated impact on business metrics through AB testing.
- Extensive experience and demonstrated leadership working effectively with software engineers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, statisticians etc.
- Entrepreneurial and growth mindset with the ability to quickly take an ambiguous problem space, wrap your head around it and break it down into testable iterations
- Deep customer empathy, balanced with strong analytical skills and comfort in using data to make decisions
- Working knowledge of ecommerce best practices with respect to design, engagement and performance.
- Excellent leadership skills reflecting proven organizational, analytical and problem- solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment, including collaborating actively and effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment, with the ability to show flexibility and agility to pivot on a daily basis from strategic to tactical.
- BS in computer science or related field. MBA is preferred.
