Lovevery is looking for a highly skilled writer and customer focused Director, Brand Marketing to lead brand communications, brand strategy and objectives. As a part of this role, you will be hands-on in developing and executing brand copy, brand strategy, informing brand architecture and messaging, and bringing brand campaigns to life. You will plan, implement and oversee brand initiatives by identifying key moments that will drive brand awareness, brand relevance, and revenue. You are comfortable partnering with internal stakeholders and collaborating cross functionally to ensure that our brand is cohesive across all marketing channels. This role will report to the Head of Brand Marketing + Partnerships, and work cross-functionally closely with the Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, Social Media, Creative, Innovation, PR and Content teams.
Accountabilities
- Oversee brand strategy and strategic long range brand planning
- Develop brand positioning and key messaging strategy with supporting copy
- Identify and align brand work with business goals
- Oversee and implement brand campaigns across channels with an understanding of impact and brand awareness metrics with cohesive and flawless execution
- Manage and serve as daily point of contact for creative agencies used for brand marketing campaigns
- Understand and leverage consumer and customer insights to drive brand marketing focus and content decisions across channels
- Identify consumer segmentation and develop brand initiatives to reach those people
- Own and lead the Lovevery Commitment, from outlining company goals, copywriting, creative design to launch and continued support
- Align with cross-functional teams to drive on-going marketing support for any and all brand campaigns and initiatives
- Work closely with Head of PR as a thought partner to help drive creative and thoughtful branding elements into strategy, pitches and PR materials
- Manage a Sr. Brand Communications Manager and team of UX and marketing copywriters
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in brand-building roles, with at least 5 years in brand marketing
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required due to the potential need for travel and in-person interaction with customers in this role
- Experienced and skilled creative writer
- Strong background in brand marketing, with extensive experience developing and executing omni-channel campaigns and brand activations
- Thorough understanding of brand planning processes, including leveraging consumer insights/segmentation to drive annual and seasonal strategies
- Excellent writing skills, an aesthetic eye, and the ability to execute impactful brand campaigns
- Financial understanding of marketing ROI, brand health and impact on the business
- An ability to foster an environment where people seamlessly work cross-functionally to deliver outstanding results
- Experience managing creative agencies, writing creative briefs and partnering with internal creative teams
- Proven experience as a strong leader and manager
- Strong understanding of all marketing channels, including PR, social and digital media
- Keen awareness of cultural trends
- Bachelor’s Degree with outstanding academic track record; preference for candidates who attended rigorous academic programs
- Professional and personal knowledge of the early childhood space, as well as an extensive understanding of industry trends and the key players in the competitive landscape
- Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Occasional travel to Boise
