LeafLink, the definitive e-commerce marketplace and software platform for the US cannabis industry, is searching for a Sales Development Representative (SDR). In this exciting new role, you’ll be a driving force on the front lines of LeafLink’s Go-To-Market strategy and growth engine. You’ll team up with senior sales reps to build your book of business across markets and product segments, identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers and revenue expansion opportunities for the organization.The SDR is the first point of contact between prospective customers and LeafLink and will be responsible for rapidly establishing trust, evaluating customer business constraints, identifying LeafLink product solutions, and connecting decision-makers with LeafLink business consultants.You’ll develop a deep knowledge of the cannabis industry and wholesale/retail operations, interfacing daily with cannabis organizations throughout the value chain and building connections that will define your career.The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset and a boundless curiosity for knowledge, as well as the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing set of rules, constraints, and industry conditions. US cannabis represents one of the most exciting blue-ocean strategic opportunities of this generation, and LeafLink is perfectly positioned to lead the charge into the next phase of growth.
What You’ll Be Doing- Qualify, nurture, and convert inbound leads to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) through collaboration with sales and marketing leaders
- Utilize SalesForce, cold calling, and email to generate new sales opportunities for Sales Executives
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Qualify prospects based on their current business challenges and needs using targeted and relevant discovery questions
- 0-2 years of professional experience, internship experience included
- Prior experience in demand development, lead generation, or sales, ideally within SaaS businesses
- Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software
- Outstanding phone, prospecting, sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated interest in the SaaS & the cannabis industry
- A knack for building relationships with potential customers, understanding their environment, and introducing new concepts to solve their problems
- History of multitasking and prioritizing your workload to maximize efficiency
- Ability to represent LeafLink and our products with a high degree of professionalism
