About the RoleAs an experienced Interior Commercial Design Project Manager reporting to our Director of Architecture and Design, you will be working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment where you will be relied on for your expertise, professionalism, and collaboration. This role is a full time remote position.
- Facilitate the design, engineering and documentation process with architects, engineers, landlords, and other eternal service providers, reviewing their work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Kindbody’s brand standards, and assist in preparing construction documents and specification packages for bid, permit and construction for new and remodeled clinics
- Assist the Real Estate Team while vetting potential new clinic locations
- Assist the Construction Team during construction by reviewing RFIs and submittals when necessary
- Develop and maintain Design and Brand Prototype Standards of ALL design and constructions details, materials, and schedules (kit of parts) used in our clinics that can easily be updated and redistributed when we make changes in our national roll-out program
- Work with internal and external design partners to develop new brand elements
- Manage all FF&E (Fixtures, Furniture and Equipment) standards, including sourcing, budgeting, purchasing, and warehousing
- Manage the final staging for all furniture and décor for new clinics prior to opening
- Coordinate all interior and exterior signage
- Contribute to cost reduction initiatives
- Coordinate with Operations Team to ensure a smooth handoff to new clinic staff
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design or similar proven experience
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience in design required
- Minimum 3 years design experience specifically in Commercial Design
- National Roll-Out experience preferred
- Demonstrated competence with latest version of AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and Google Sketchup
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with demonstrated competence in digital and hand drawn presentations
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects each at various stages of the design and construction process simultaneously, meet multiple deadlines and work under pressure
- Current knowledge of industry trends in retail design including fixtures, furniture, and finishes
- Experience in national and local building codes and ADA/accessibility compliance
- Familiarity building materials, construction techniques and finishes
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Must be able to multitask and work in an accurate and organized manner
- Enthusiastic team player who approaches projects in a collaborative manner with evidence of success establishing and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently when needed
- Ability to manage projects as well as staff when necessary
- Must be willing to travel as this position involves nationwide new clinic setups. Travel could be up to 50% of the time.
