About The Role
We’re seeking a dynamic marketer to help scale our brand marketing program at JustAnswer! The brand marketing director will help define a compelling value proposition for target audiences, design and lead the rollout of integrated brand campaigns and contribute to the ongoing strategy and execution across our core set of brand-building channels. Ultimately, this person will play an instrumental role in driving high degrees of awareness, engagement and excitement for the JustAnswer brand among consumers, customers and other target audiences.
We’re looking for a passionate and creative individual who is experienced in leading brand marketing activities, demonstrates a combination of strategic thinking and executional know-how and heavily leans on data to inform decisions and strategies. The role reports to the Senior Director of Brand and Retention Marketing and is based in our San Francisco office (remote arrangements will also be considered).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with user research team to define target audiences, identify core customer needs and prioritize outreach channels
- Develop brand value proposition and positioning strategies, in partnership with internal stakeholders and external agencies, and lead rollout across broader organization
- Develop annual campaign calendar and oversee implementation across marketing channels
- Lead PR strategies in partnership with external agencies, including design & execution of major initiatives as well as media outreach and investor relations
- Oversee strategies for social media and content marketing programs
- Evaluate upper funnel awareness-building opportunities (video, podcasts, print, etc.) and lead tests to assess viability
- Drive ongoing measurement of brand strength and performance of core brand-building channels
- Regularly share customer insights, program strategies and key learnings with the broader company
- Hire and manage a brand marketing manager to assist with all of the above
Knowledge and Skills
- 10+ years experience in brand and/or integrated marketing roles
- Adept at distilling customer needs and at designing value propositions and targeted marketed strategies to effectively connect with audiences
- Skilled at devising impactful marketing strategies, including integrated marketing campaigns, and leading implementation across teams
- Expertise (and an eagerness to roll up your sleeves) with campaign execution
- Strong understanding of key metrics (and corresponding implications) for measuring impact of brand campaigns at both the company and individual channel levels
- Experienced at building highly collaborative relationships with internal work partners as well as external agencies and vendors
- Creative thinker who has the courage to test bold new approaches
- Effective people manager with a track record of increasing their team’s contribution over time
