Responsibilities:
- Monitor system's health and performance
- Manage SQL Server databases and backups
- Database release process support
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
- Provide suggestions for solutions
- Perform scheduled maintenance
Requirements:
Must have:
- High-level proficiency in SQL within OLTP and DW systems
- 5+ years of database administration with a primary focus on SQL Server
- Good problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, set and negotiate priorities
- Experience with SQL Profile, Extended Events, QueryStore
- Extensive hands-on experience in tuning hardware for performance
- Strong understanding of SQL Server internals and issue resolution
- High Availability and Data recovery
- Experience designing and deploying large scale databases with multiple locations
- Experience with consumer facing 24x7 high traffic websites
- SQL Server Audit and Security
- Experience with supporting high volume and high traffic OLTP environment
Nice to have:
- NoSQL and MySQL experience
- PowerShell and C# knowledge
- Power BI familiarity
- Experience with database process automation
- Experience optimizing database queries for performance
- Knowledge of any relational database hosted in the cloud
- Experience with Partitioning, Compression
- Experience with GIT
- Experience with CI\CD
- Experience with SQL Server AlwaysOn Cluster setup and Fail-over technology
- Familiar with Database Cloning technology
- Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services and supporting high volume data warehouses ETL
