(Senior) Machine Learning Engineer - NLP (m/f/d) (Remote)

Since Natural Language Processing is at the core of almost everything we do at Joblift, our Data Science team is looking for a highly motivated (Senior) Machine Learning Engineer to push the development of ML and NLP technologies even further. This role will be centered around a variety of use-cases such as extracting structured knowledge out of millions of job postings, understanding user queries and profile data, and eventually using all of this to deliver the best candidate-job matching experience. Given the high-volume and low-latency requirements of our products, the position will be especially focused on developing and deploying NLP-based models that are able to satisfy those requirements while maintaining high standards of quality.

• 2+ years experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining ML/NLP applications in business environments subject to high-volume and low-latency constraints

• Hands-on experience in recent ML approaches for Recommender Systems

• Hands-on experience with NLP methods for text representation and classification (anything from Word2vec to Transformers and beyond)

• Proficiency in Python and its Data Science libraries (e.g. pandas, numpy)

• Exposure to Deep Learning frameworks (Tensorflow, Pytorch) and Machine Learning libraries (e.g. scikit-learn)

• Experience in working with cloud environments (ideally GCP), big data infrastructures, and data warehouse systems (BigQuery, Postgres, GCS). Experience in stream processing (Kafka) is a plus

• Experience in recruiting industry, job search engines, and job data is a big plus

• Strong software engineering skills and practices (Git, unit tests, code reviews)

• Willingness to learn, initiative, and sense of ownership to push projects forward
