Inkblot is on a mission to build one of Canada’s broadest mental health services companies. We offer corporate mental health programs, with a focus on secure video counselling that is available any time, any place to make mental health support readily accessible.
We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer with a foundational understanding of web development frameworks and a passion for building mission-driven products to join our QA team.
Your role will be a combination of planning, testing, developing automation frameworks/scripts to support the quality and consistency of our product launches and implementations of employee mental health services/programs.
As the QA Automation Engineer, you will:
- Functional testing of Inkblot products to document issues and bugs.
- Assist in defect management by prioritizing and triaging bugs that arise through testing and from various internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan, develop and maintain automated scripts for all product testing.
- Develop manual and automated test cases.
- Able to shift between Automation and Manual Testing tasks on a need basis.
- Execute weekly and on-demand automated regression tests.
- Participate in our software development life cycle, biweekly sprints and other Scrum ceremonies.
- Generate reports and maintain QA documentation.
To be a strong team member, you’ll need:
- 1-3 years of experience in software development and QA testing.
- Experience in developing Automation Frameworks from scratch.
- Experience in Object Oriented Programming languages like Java, Python.
- Experience front-end Javascript frameworks like React and Redux.
- Experience with tools/utilities like Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, CircleCI.
- Experience working in a startup environment is an asset.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Bonus points for having experience with Ruby on Rails and performance testing.
