The Role: Marketing Intern, Design

About This Role
We are looking for a Marketing Intern, Design to join Hazel’s Marketing and Communications team this fall. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the Marketing and broader Hazel teams with a variety of design and general marketing support requests (school district launch materials, production and customization tasks, print and merch ordering, social graphic support, marketing materials creation, variety of brand design and organizational tasks).
As an intern on the team, you will have the opportunity to gain real, valuable experience on high-impact projects. Here at Hazel, we value different points of view as well as your growth - therefore, you will be an important voice in team meetings, have ample opportunities to receive feedback, and will have the support of a cohort, working alongside two other fall marketing interns.
What You’ll Do
- Templatize assets and create polished, easy to edit marketing materials for scaling purposes
- Project management assistance, coordination/logistical support, translation and general marketing support
- Cross-functional collaboration with Marketing and other Hazel teams (Clinical, CSM/Ops, People, Engineering, Analytics, etc.)
- Assistance with event and PR projects and initiatives - including both design and PR/event coordination and planning
- Source photos and organize the stock photo and video library, assisting with photo and video shoots as needed
- Participate in weekly design meetings
About You:

- Candidates must be enrolled as a university/college junior or senior, graduate student in a related field, or be enrolled in a related learning program or bootcamp
- Passion for mission-based work and health equity
- Must have demonstrated design experience (in-house brand design preferred)
- Ideal candidates must possess excellent design skills, keen attention to detail, time management skills, organization and self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple projects
- Candidates will need to provide a portfolio website or samples of work
- Software: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Figma, Asana (or other project management tool), Webflow
- Nice to haves: video editing, web design/UX, illustration skills
Position Details:
- This paid internship will run for 10 weeks, from mid- to late-September through mid-December (coinciding with winter break). There will be a one week break for Thanksgiving.
- We require at least 16-20 hours of work per week
- Successful candidates will work with their manager to create a regular weekly schedule based around academic commitments, which must include at least one full 8 hour day, and 2-3 additional 4-8 hour work days; we will try to ensure that at least one day overlaps with other interns in the cohort.
- $25/hour ($400/week for 16 hours, $500/week for 20 hours)
- Hazel’s teammates live all over the country and most work remotely. Hazel has offices in San Francisco, CA, Truckee, CA and Irving, TX. As an intern at Hazel, you may work remotely, from one of the company’s three offices, or in a hybrid model.
