Provisioning, installation, configuration, monitoring, upgrade, troubleshoot, maintenance of ICT systems to ensure that they are in good working order.
Ensure that the systems availability and operational procedures are understood whilst periodically verifying such procedures according to guidelines and operational requirements to ensure the integrity and availability of all hardware systems and key processes is maintained.
Research and recommend methods for system administration tasks in order to identify innovative approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
Execute steps in conforming to Group Policies and procedures on ICT and suggest any improvements to existing procedures.
Ensure that a proper inventory is maintained of ICT systems and that hardware and software is covered under proper maintenance agreements in liaison with user departments and divisional management and ensures that preventive maintenance is carried out as stipulated in the agreement.
Ensure confidentiality of data and security of information available on group’s computer systems as may be assigned in order to safeguard company assets and information.
Promptly escalate issues, which affect service delivery, that are beyond the scope of authority to the reporting Supervisor/Manager.
Provide occasional guidance and technical knowhow to subordinate staff to carry out their official duties and share knowledge with others when required.
