Senior Manager - Manufacturing
We are seeking for an experienced and dynamic individual to manage segments of our manufacturing operations. As key members of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth operations of manufacturing processes, whilst maintaining a safe working environment, complying to our operating management systems effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, and a proven record of accomplishments of manufacturing excellence.
The main job functions of this position will include,
- Production: Responsible for planned volumes, productivity, cost, safety and environment as key performance indicators.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements. Lead initiatives to implement new techniques, technologies, or best practices to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure all products meet or exceed customer specifications. Continuously monitor production processes to identify and address any quality issues promptly.
- Team Management: Supervise and motivate production staff to achieve performance targets and maintain a positive work environment. Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.
- Health and Safety: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess inventory. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize storage costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure all production equipment is properly maintained and serviced to minimize downtime and prevent disruptions to production schedules.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on production metrics, including output, efficiency, and quality performance. Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
- Communication: Foster open communication channels with other departments, including sales, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment of production activities with overall business objectives.
The suitable candidate should possess,
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing. Having a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role over 5 years at a middle or senior managerial role in an export-oriented organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve production targets and quality standards through Lean, TPM and other tools for operational / process excellence
- Excellent problem solving skills with a strategic mindset for process improvement.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems, MS Office, and data analytics tools.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
