Job Responsibilities
- Actively facilitate the training function by carrying out needs analysis, drafting training plans, designing training programs and enabling the continual improvement of the employee performance
- Identify training and development needs of the group by evaluating the performance appraisals, requests and current business needs
- Improve employee motivation by initiating and coordinating employee engagement programs while ensuring the retention of competent staff in the company
- Facilitate harmonious relations with external stakeholders of the factory by organizing and coordinating social responsibility activities to improve the company’s image as a good corporate citizen
- Maintain and develop succession planning processes
- Coordinate and develop group initiated Leadership/Management development programmes
- Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management
Person’s Profile
- A degree preferably relating to Business Management or Human Resources Management from a recognized University
- A Professional Qualification related to Learning and Development from a recognized institute
- Minimum 5 years’ experience preferably in a Multinational company
- Exceptional communication skills in written and spoken English and Sinhala
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong results orientation
- Ability to work well in both team-oriented and self-directed environments
- Sound knowledge of the MS Office suite
- MBA/MSc from a recognized University would be an added advantage
