Arrange all the supplies, surveys & services of tugs, also work on the drydocking CAPEXs
Discuss the pending requirements and status of the urgent requirements with the ship superintendent, Manage a good relationship with ship management department
Perform periodic inventory counts and tally to the inventory records
Update the Vendor Master list and make sure all the details are up to date
Solve disputes in supplier invoices and payments and make sure smooth supply chain management.
Inform finance teams on accruals and clearance of advances paid and facilitate month end financial reporting
Work on the main audit work and arrange the necessary documents for the audits
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectations.
Follow up the pending payment and arrange mitigate the process issues
Working on the new strategic procurement goals to save 4% cost from the annual spend
Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management approved by UGC or equivalent professional qualification with minimum one-year experience OR
Local or London O/L 6 passes with 'C' for Maths and English and minimum 2 passes for A/L's or successful completion of UGC approved A/L equivalent foundation course with minimum 4 years experience.
Proficient in the use of SAP or similar ERP systems & MS Office applications.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Exposure in freight option / Custom policies & supply chain management would be an added advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
