EXECUTIVE - OCCUPATIONAL, HEALTH & SAFETY
1. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Implementing and reviewing of the OHS management system of the company by increasing awareness and commitment of the staff to safe work practices.
• Work closely with Group and Cluster OHS teams to create a high level of OHS & Sustainability awareness throughout the company by arranging awareness sessions, circulating awareness mails among the staff, arranging necessary training programs to make the staff vigilant of safety and sustainability aspects of the business.
• Ensure adequate safety provisions are provided to meet the company’s health and safety objectives as outlined in the company’s Strategic Plan by checking the status of provision of same.
• Represent the Company at Cluster forums on OHS, sustainability and operational excellence and ensure the Company adheres to required guidelines and provides relevant reports as per set timelines.
• Monitor and analyse departmental KPIs and present to Director.
• Gather related data and maintain management information in order to prepare any reports as requested by the management.
• Research and analyze trends and provide accurate information for management decisions.
2. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
• Three passes at the GCE A/Levels or successful completion of UGC approved A/L equivalent foundation.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field approved by UGC in a related discipline.
• Excellent command of the English and Sinhala languages (written and oral).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience.
• Basic Knowledge on MS office packages.
