EXECUTIVE – BUSINESS SUPPORT
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Facilitate smooth functioning of the Quality Management System (ISO) by conducting internal audits and facilitating external audits.
- Provide resources in consultation with the management team identified as necessary for implementing the Quality Management System in keeping with the Quality Policy and the Quality objectives of the company
- Assess the effectiveness of the Quality System periodically and report the status to the senior management.
- Initiate process improvements to enhance efficiency, optimize costs, and ensure compliance.
- Operate as a project coordinator to ensure a smooth transition in all process improvement projects.
- Develop and implement the necessary SOP’s for effective liaison between departments for the smooth operation of the business.
- Measure company KPIs and implement the necessary process improvements to achieve the same.
- Handle general administrative activities at the Marine Operations division including license renewals, lease agreements, and other prerequisites including front office activities, housekeeping, etc.
- Set up overseas travel arrangements for staff at the Marine Operations division as and when requested by coordinating with relevant parties.
- Maintain the director’s calendar/diary by updating appointments and carrying out the necessary coordination.
- Assist the director by way of coordinating and arranging meetings, preparing reports/publication material and presentations, and taking down accurate minutes to ensure their timely circulation.
- Attend and follow up on inquiries both internal and external routed from the director by closely following up with relevant parties to ensure their timely completion.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
- 3 passes at the GCE A/L examination
- Bachelor’s Degree approved by UGC or Equivalent professional qualification in Business Management, or any related function.
- Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar function.
- Good command of verbal and written communication skills (English & Sinhala)
- Computer literacy with MS Office is vital
- Ability to work independently.
- Good interpersonal skills.
