Assistant Manager - Manufacturing Excellence

The main job functions of this position will include,
Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational initiatives to enhance manufacturing performances, streamlining processes, and improve overall operational efficiency. Collaborate with senior management to align manufacturing objectives with organizational goals and objectives.
Lean Manufacturing Implementation: Lead the adoption and implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce lead times, and improve productivity. Facilitate Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects to drive sustainable improvements in key performance metrics.
Process Optimization: Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for optimization and efficiency gains. Implement process improvements, automation solutions, and technology upgrades to enhance throughput, quality and cost-effectiveness.
Performance Measurement and Analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor manufacturing performance and track progress against targets. Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to identify trends, root causes of inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain, to identify and address manufacturing challenges and opportunities. Foster a collaborative and integrated approach to problem solving and decision making.
Training and Development: Provide training and support to manufacturing teams on Lean Manufacturing principles, problem solving techniques, and process improvement methodologies. Empower employees at all levels to actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence.
Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to drive cultural transformation and foster a mindset of continuous improvement and innovation throughout the organization. Overcome resistance to change by effectively communicating the benefits and rationale behind proposed improvements.
Sharing Best Practices: Identify and benchmark best practices in manufacturing excellence from within the organization and external industry sources. Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration to leverage best practices and drive performance improvements.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in manufacturing operations and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity. Proactively address safety, quality, and compliance issues to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
