JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Review of MGA’s prepared by the four Finance Executives for accuracy.
- Review the TTS MGA accuracy and cost/revenue allocations in order to ensure that Male’ CMA operation is adequately reported.
- Approve all invoices pertaining to port terminals/ customs for all principals by verifying the accuracy with relevant documentation in order to ensure port payments are timely made without incurring any penalties & safeguarding Principal’s interest.
- Approve and verify external debit notes sent by the Company.
- Ensure monthly financials of CMA CGM Lanka is accurately prepared by verifying the accuracy of entries in the system in order to make available the financial information timely to make decisions by the management.
- Verify monthly account reconciliation of CMA CGM Lanka in order to make periodic audit schedules available.
- Ensure timely salary deductions are made & instructed to the payroll processing unit of Hayleys.
- Verify and approve update monthly principal management accounts in Principal system (One stream).
- Verify quarterly reporting (CONSOLE) of CMA CGM Lanka.
- Ensure accuracy of the monthly & quarterly statutory payments prepared by the relevant Executives by verifying the computations against the financial reports, if required to liaise with Tax Auditors (E&Y) in order to ensure statutory compliance.
- Assist the FC to prepare annual Principal budgets & local budgets.
- Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
- A minimum of 3 passes at the GCE A/L examination with a GCE O/L with a minimum B pass for Mathematics.
- Bachelor’s Degree approved by UGC or Equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a accounts field.
- Qualified in CIMA/CA/ACCA.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office packages and other Accounting Packages such as ERP SAP.
- Knowledge of Shipping related processes/taxation.
- Excellent command of the English and Sinhala languages.
