Our Team:
Think about the best products you’ve built as an engineer. Were they powered by APIs that did what you needed so you could focus on solving your user problem? Did these APIs just make sense and work as expected? If so, you already know what we’re trying to do. Building production software is hard. Making it so simple to use that it disappears into the background is harder. Doing that for healthcare data, which can be messy, is so hard that nobody has really done it.
Core Domain Services (CDS) owns the core domains underpinning how we get our members to the right care at the right time. The Provider Data team is responsible for IH’s all-important provider data set, which enables us to personalize provider recommendations to our members for the best health outcomes.
That’s great, you say — but what is a provider? A provider is a clinical professional who is delivering care to a patient (e.g. medical doctor, nurse practitioner, mental health counselor).
If provider data exists that is useful in guiding a member to get better care, the Provider Data team is responsible for it — from clinical outcomes to cost transparency.
The Role:
Your Mission — Why does your role exist?
As a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead, your mission is to drive impactful projects for the Provider Data team, from gathering requirements to shipping and iterating. You’ll lead team execution by combining your high technical output with project management and peer influence to make the team successful. You’ll also build strong opinions that causally help the team achieve its mission.
