We’re looking for someone with a strong branding background, eye for aesthetics, and social media savviness to own the outward-facing visual design of GoodNotes.
You’ll be the first dedicated brand designer on the GoodNotes marketing team, and will have the opportunity to shape how we apply the brand across our existing (website, app store, Instagram, etc.) and future marketing channels (Newsletters? YouTube? New geographies?).
As a brand designer on the marketing team, you will
Work closely with the digital marketing manager to provide creative direction across all our marketing and branding visual assets
Conceptualize and develop visuals for digital campaigns (ad assets, blog and social media visuals, app store screenshots, etc.), web pages, print, and events
Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience. And establish a clear and concise brand voice, tone, and personality through visuals
Contribute to our Design System; specifically the Brand and Marketing sections.
Be an advocate for consistent and cohesive design throughout the company. Educate others on design thinking, brand experience, and design-driven storytelling.
Occasionally work with the product design team to create icons, illustrations, and other visual assets for the GoodNotes app
What you need to be successful
Hands-on experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, photography, and more
Expert knowledge of industry software like InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, Figma
You stay on top of brand, design, media and conversion best practices.
You’re a go-getter. You proactively spot areas where you can lend your designer’s eye, and can suggest new projects to improve the visual brand
You’re nitpicky about branding and consistency. Incorrect font, colors, logo placement, and visual misalignments are things that stick out like a sore thumb to you.
You’re an excellent communicator and know which questions to ask to get the information you need.
Social media savviness and understanding of visual nuances in different platforms, like Instagram and TikTok
