Senior Product Marketing Manager - EMEA Region
As the Senior Product Marketing Manager in the EMEA Region, you will play a key role in driving Fastly’s success in Europe, and perspectively in Middle East and Africa.
Reporting into the EMEA Marketing Director you will be part of a cross-functional team consisting of Field Marketing Managers, Digital Campaign experts and a center of excellence for Localization. This team collaborates remotely across Europe and, in close partnership with regional Sales, focusses on driving demand for Fastly’s products. As the sole product expert within this agile team your work will be instrumental to inform all Marketing and Sales endeavours with the right positioning as well as accurate and detailed product content. This role has a particularly broad scope as you will have to oversee Fastly’s full product portfolio, ranging from Content Delivery over Web Security to Serverless Computing. You will own the Product Marketing for a world region, not for a specific product. Since the IT Security market is a primary focus for the EMEA region, a background in this industry is a must-have requirement.
This role is limited to non-US only.
What You'll Do
- Market, buyer and competitive research: You keep tabs closely on the evolving focus markets in the EMEA region and constantly brief the Marketing and Sales teams about evolving trends as well as insights from the competition; you also champion the understanding of Fastly’s buyer personas with particular sensitivity for the differences and nuances between the several countries and work cultures
- Conduit to the US-based Product Marketing team: You brief the regional teams on all relevant updates regarding Fastly’s products and feed back requirements from the EMEA region
- Collaboration on regional campaigns: You advise both Marketing and Sales teams on competitive angles and target personas to ensure the best possible market fit of the campaigns run in region
- Content creation and adaptation: You confidently repurpose existing and create net-new content for different campaigns and assets, containing but not limited to: presentations, email wordings, whitepapers, landing pages, sales and event collateral, booth wordings
- Asset curation and localization: You ensure that the right set of collateral is adapted to the markets, translated and available for the local teams by managing both the internal repository as well as the resources page on our website
- Product trainings for Sales and Marketing: You create digestible briefings and training presentations for the local teams by focussing on their needs and Fastly’s most important differentiators in the region
- Case study creation: You identify the most compelling stories Fastly can tell about its customers in the region and liaise with stakeholders to kick off the projects – during which you ensure that the right features and advantages are highlighted in the final piece
What We're Looking For
- Ideally 7+ years of experience in Product Marketing within the IT industry, from which at least one role was in the Security space
- Proven experience collaborating with Field Marketers or Demand Marketers
- Proven experience in Sales training and enablement
- Ability to navigate a large international company with different cultures and levels of stakeholders across multiple functions and time zones
- Excellent copy writing and editing skills – experience in supporting localization for multiple languages and cultures is a plus
- Excellent presentation skills – public speaking experience is a plus
Alongside this, we are looking for a passionate team player and communicator, a self-starter who proactively takes ownership. If you don’t have exposure to all the requirements listed above, please do not hesitate to still apply as there is a lot more that makes a great candidate than just ticking all the boxes!
Why Fastly?
-
We have a huge impact. Fastly is a small company with a big reach. Not only do our customers have a tremendous user base, but we also support a growing number of open source projects and initiatives. Outside of code, employees are encouraged to share causes close to their heart with others so we can help lend a supportive hand.
-
We love distributed teams. Fastly’s home-base is in San Francisco, but we have multiple offices and employees sprinkled around the globe. In fact, 50% of our employees work outside of SF! An international remote culture is in our DNA.
-
We care about you. Fastly works hard to create a positive environment for our employees, and we think your life outside of work is important too. We support our teams with great benefits like up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave, options for free medical/dental/vision plans, and an open vacation program that enables our folks to take the time they need to recharge (some benefits may vary by location).
-
We value diversity. Growing and maintaining our inclusive and diverse team matters to us. We are committed to being a company where our employees feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work and have the ability to be successful -- every day.
-
We are passionate. Fastly is chock full of passionate people and we’re not ‘one size fits all’. Fastly employs authors, pilots, skiers, parents (of humans and animals), makeup geeks, coffee connoisseurs, and more. We love employees for who they are and what they are passionate about.
We’re always looking for humble, sharp, and creative folks to join the Fastly team. If you think you might be a fit, please apply!
