We are looking for a local CRM Retention Marketing Manager to join our CRM team to develop and implement effective retention strategy and tactics to help drive growth in the UK. As a Retention Marketing Manager, you will build personalised customer experiences through CRM channels with an opportunity to innovate with predictive intelligence and robust automation tooling.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Retention Marketing Manager. We are considering remote applicants based in the UK for this position. While remote applicants are welcome to apply, the expectation is that in-person presence in London may eventually be required on certain days, so willingness to travel to our London office from time to time is a must. About The Role
In this role you will:
Be responsible for implementing, driving and optimising our local CRM strategy & roadmap including delivering prioritised projects, experiments, and campaigns that contribute to our CRM vision and framework and Etsy’s long-term company strategy.
Co-create channel strategies (including developing our experimentation roadmap, defining target audiences, contact frequency, and automation requirements, to meet market-specific growth goals) in collaboration with partner teams such as Database Marketing, Martech, Marketing Analytics, Strategic Marketing, International Product, Translations team, Brand team, Legal, etc. Regularly communicate and coordinate status updates, launch confirmations, ETAs, and blockers.
Lead marketing automation process for key initiatives from start to finish including brief writing, drafting CRM technical enablement requirements, audience segmentation and building, email and journey building, launching and post-launch analysis.
Stay up to date with the latest CRM insights (e.g. digital marketing trends and standard methodologies applicable to the UK market) and bring CRM wisdom to every discussion, where teammates can rely on your expertise and insights to implement opportunities.
Analyze and deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual analytics and performance reporting including distilling numbers into channel insights and market trends to improve upcoming roadmap.
About you:
5+ years of proven success in a CRM role in fast-paced businesses, preferable ecommerce or marketplace with UK market exposure.
You are agile to adapt to evolving business needs and excel at spotting opportunities to achieve long term goals. This includes defining, evaluating and prioritising them. You are also efficient as well as effective in bringing ideas to life as experiments.
You are a subject-matter expert in implementing automated triggers and personalising marketing campaigns that deliver a world-class user experience in Marketing Automation Platforms. You have previously built sophisticated personalised multi-channel marketing strategies as well as experimentation roadmaps. Braze experience is preferred. Highly skilled with HTML and CSS is required. Liquid template language scripting strongly preferred.
You have an outstanding attention to detail, are organised with excellent time management, communicate effectively with a broad set of partners and are intrinsically motivated to drive performance.

Strong analytical and numerical proficiency and make decisions grounded in insights coupled with a strong understanding of the customer experience. You are strong in transforming customer data and insights into useful knowledge. Hands-on experience with SQL, data visualization tools and have DIKW pyramid understanding. Looker knowledge preferred.
Deeply familiar with local and global policies such as CAN-SPAM/CASL/GDPR requirements and inbox deliverability standards.
