Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Lead Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure Planning and Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that Dialog's data center network is protected from internal and external security threats. This role involves identifying areas for improvement in our current network infrastructure and providing a clear roadmap to achieve a more efficient and robust network. The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying critical problems, weaknesses, and bottlenecks in the production network and recommending necessary remedies. Additionally, you will provide expertise in designing, implementing, and operating next-generation firewall infrastructure and related information security operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement security solutions to achieve zero tolerance for security vulnerabilities.
Oversee the design and operations of ACI SDN infrastructure (Cloud, DX, IDC).
Manage firewalls (both data center and user networks), IPS operations, DNS operations, and other security-related systems to maintain 99.9% uptime and security.
Operate the Global GSOC networking environment and manage day-to-day network access requirements.
Handle load balancer operations and firewall operations for data center, DMZ, user, and service LAN firewall clusters.
Manage remote and site-to-site VPN operations, ensuring secure connectivity.
Conduct periodic optimizations and cleansing of rule bases to minimize security loopholes.
Maintain firewalls and VPNs according to Dialog's security standards and procedures.
Provide firewall operation support and troubleshoot access issues for related network services.
Optimize firewall, VPN, wireless, and IPS rule bases to enhance network security.
Lead new deployments for exposing Dialog resources and systems to external parties via secure network connectivity.
Conduct detailed capacity planning and impact analysis on the existing production network, especially during site migrations and upgrades.
Collaborate closely with infrastructure support teams, DBAs, and Sys Admins to identify infrastructure gaps and recommend improvements.
Conduct update sessions and keep stakeholders informed on relevant areas and new technologies.
Provide technical expertise and actively participate in ongoing improvement processes.
Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
Offer expert advice and recommendations to address network layer architectural weaknesses in in-house developed corporate applications.
Identify common network threats and troubleshoot network security issues to provide effective solutions.
