We are looking for the first DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team. You will work on our overall infrastructure, APIs, database architecture, as well as shared backend services. You will also train and coach the whole engineering team in DevOps best practices.
Goals
Coach engineering teams: You coach and support engineering teams in the implementation of DevOps activities
Implement our infrastructure: You are responsible for the planning, development & implementation of IT solutions in the cloud environment (Google Cloud).
Own the monitoring: You optimize monitoring systems and are responsible for the further development of build processes and the automation of deployment processes
Optimize performance: You are the responsible person when it comes to the performance, availability and security of our software and system landscapes
Set the standards: You will also actively shape our current DevOps standards & provide support for our software developers
CI/CD: Gitlab CI with fully automated pipelines for code quality, testing, and deploying
Databases: Google managed Postrgesql and Redis
Backend: mainly Ruby on Rails, microservices in Ruby, Go, and Node.js
Your Profile
Know the latest state of Kubernetes, site reliability engineering and world-class monitoring to deliver our real-time app
Have an interest in designing, building and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
Have a systematic problem-solving approach
CI/CD knowledge (Jenkins, Gitlab-CI)
