Crowdbotics is looking for an experienced product marketing manager to showcase our platform’s value to users, optimize conversions within our freemium user funnel, scale our data-driven automated marketing efforts, and—at the end of the day—increase revenue generated from user interactions with the Crowdbotics platform.
The ideal candidate has previously managed product-led growth or lifecycle marketing initiatives for a SaaS platform and has experience building out new product marketing workflows and systems from scratch. They are equally comfortable working on messaging (such as marketing site copy, knowledge base edits, or transactional email campaigns) and semi-technical product implementation (such as drafting feature specs, tweaking frontend code, or digging into API documentation).
The Product Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing and will collaborate closely with the Content Marketing Manager to drive overall company growth. This is a cross-functional role that requires ongoing communication with stakeholders across our product, sales, customer support, and engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Build value and facilitate customer success within the Crowdbotics platform through in-app communication, behavioral marketing automation, and community engagement
- Create customer marketing campaigns designed to drive upsells, new deals, and referrals from current Crowdbotics users
- Collaborate with product and engineering to increase free-to-paid conversions within the platform
- Track common user flows and identify key intervention points to promote in-app purchases
- Conduct user and market research to identify opportunities for product and business growth
- Scale our ability to automatically surface data stored within the Crowdbotics platform across our digital marketing properties
- Produce blog posts and other marketing collateral highlighting common product use cases to drive buyer interest
- Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert for non-technical Crowdbotics users
- Own the growth and maintenance of our knowledge base (knowledge.crowdbotics.com)
- Drive positioning and communications around all feature launches
- Capture and promote success stories among Crowdbotics platform users
- Identify ways to grow and inspire the Crowdbotics community via the platform experience and content creation
- Report on success metrics for each of the above initiatives
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product or lifecycle marketing at a mid-size technology, SaaS, or web development business
- A data-driven approach to funnel optimization
- Excellent writing and editing skills — a compelling storyteller
- Comfortable planning product initiatives and describing those initiatives to technical and non-technical team members
- Well-versed in operationalizing API data for content purposes
- Able to prioritize a shifting backlog of opportunities — excellent project management skills
- Strong eye for branding and design with basic design skills
- Ability to experiment, iterate, and adapt quickly to new product strategies in a high-growth environment
- Experience with Hubspot MAS, CRM, and Service Hub
- Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills

- CS or web development background

- Have built product or micro-sites with headless CMS
- UX, UI, and/or graphic design experience
- Experience using Webflow (including Webflow CMS Collections)

In the first 30 days, you will…
- Become an expert on using the Crowdbotics platform
- Map our free and paid user journeys from prospect to evangelist
- Conduct competitor research to identify potential differentiators for our platform
- Audit our knowledge base and blog for gaps in product enablement content
- Draft email campaigns to encourage platform engagement and conversion actions
- Design a scalable system for ongoing data capture and publication of platform data
- Review our product pricing strategy and compare it to similar platforms
- Implement a system for assessing user sentiment and capturing positive testimonials
- Meet with the product and engineering teams to discuss upcoming feature launches and our product roadmap
In the first 60 days, you will…
- Produce written and video content to help users onboard to the Crowdbotics App Builder
- Create a plan for behavioral marketing campaigns designed to drive in-product upgrades
- Communicate the marketing department’s tactical needs to the product team on a regular basis
- A/B test email marketing campaigns and in-app communication for optimal performance
- Unify our product design with our marketing properties
- Own product pricing and market positioning in relation to key competitors
- Increase automated content production from dozens of posts per month to hundreds of posts per month
In the first 90 days, you will…
- Set and meet quarterly KPIs for new user acquisition, product-driven purchases, and recurring revenue
- Run ongoing email and in-app marketing campaign optimization
- Partner with the product team to set our platform’s quarterly roadmap
- Execute our go-to-market plan and messaging across all target verticals
- Transform Crowdbotics from a services-first platform to a SaaS-first platform, with commensurate gains in SaaS-style customer usage
- Publish and promote ongoing positive reviews of the Crowdbotics platform from satisfied users
- Partner with senior team members to craft and communicate our company narrative
