Systems engineer iii
Location: fort collins, co; austin, tx; amarillo, tx; open to remote
Systems support engineers tier iii are an integral part of the success that encompasses the noc support team at csi’s managed services divisionSystems support engineers tier iii are responsible for coaching and mentoring the systems team membersThey are responsible for ensuring that the systems team is meeting all kpi’s and customer satisfaction goalsThis position is a technical role that comes with many benefits such as working with an innovative team, a strong focus on goal achievement, integrating the latest technologies and working in an ever changing fast-paced environment.
Help improve implementation and system teams’ support processes and documentation.
Act as escalation point of contact for csi customers and staff.
Ensure timely completion of escalated systems tickets.
Assist systems tier 1 and 2 engineers in completion of tickets through mentorship and troubleshooting assistance.
Contribute to the growth of other engineers through mentoring, training scenarios and collaboration during problem solving
Escalate incidents to appropriate csi teams as necessary to ensure tickets are closed in a timely fashion.
Perform all duties of a systems tier 1 & 2 engineers as needed.
Communicate technical issues and solutions with clients in business terms.
Continue to stay current on offerings as related to the systems teams supported vendors.
Act as technical bridge for csi to take on new service offerings in the systems group.
Participate in systems team on call rotation
Ability to work in fast paced, rapidly changing environment and a strong desire to learn.
Must have advanced knowledge of the hardware, software, and other platforms that csi offers support in, including microsoft server operating systems, vmware esxi, microsoft exchange, and microsoft azure.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an advanced technical role.
Experience leading a team of at least 5 employees with an attitude that encourages the their progression
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with executives, engineers, sales, vendors and peers.
Team player required: must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace.
Ability to work variable schedules to include weekends, nights, and day shifts as required.
Experience and certifications with san storage environments.
Nice to haves
Managed services experience
Experience with certificate authority (ca) server and network policy servers (nps)
Experience managing clients in a virtualized server environment (vmware, azure)
Experience managing virtual desktop environments (citrix, vmware vdi, azure virtual desktop)
Experience implementing business continuity and disaster recovery backups
Experience in the financial service industry
Familiarity with compliance regulations: ffiec, fdic, ncua, and glba
