About the Role:
Clare’s Email & Retention Marketing Manager will own the strategy and execution of our customer retention, email marketing, and loyalty efforts in collaboration with our Head of Growth Marketing. With loyalty as a core pillar of our growth strategy, your main focus will be on driving greater customer engagement, purchase frequency and lifetime value. Ideal candidates are highly entrepreneurial, data-driven, have prior experience managing a best-in-class email marketing program, and well-versed in e-commerce best practices. What You’ll Do:
Customer Retention
Own our retention strategy across all touchpoints aiming to drive engagement, increase customer loyalty, and grow revenue
Drive the launch and execution of SMS communications
Launch and grow of our first-ever loyalty program, including a supporting email strategy
Provide retention analysis & insights company-wide and assist with growth forecasting
Email Marketing
Build & manage a best in class email marketing program optimizing frequency, cadence, audience segmentation, and automations to increase customer loyalty
Drive an efficient email process workflow, collaborating with cross-functional team members to ensure calendar alignment and a turnkey execution of content creation
Deploy and QA check email campaigns and flows ensuring accuracy of copy, imagery, links and audience targets
Integrate personalization and dynamic content into our email program
Measure and report email performance in recurring business updates using advanced analytics, making actionable recommendations to optimize performance, copy, and creative
Establish email performance goals/ KPIs and regularly report on performance using data and qualitative analysis
Regularly execute rigorous A/B tests to continuously optimize performance, drive growth, and improve key metrics
E-commerce Management
Support execution of new initiatives and updates for our ShopifyPlus site, Clare.com, across products, pages, and promotions
Collaborate with cross-functional creative partners to maintain a seamless user experience and bring new digital experiences to life
Support management of external partner workflow, developing solutions to problems, defining requirements, overseeing implementation and measuring results
Partner with the Head of Growth & e-commerce to analyze site performance and user behavior, delivering reports and insights to share across the business
Who You Are:
An excellent project manager — You’re detail- and process-oriented with stellar communication skills. You’re incredibly organized and can keep projects moving forward despite speed bumps.
An e-commerce nerd — You understand the elements of a successful e-commerce business across digital marketing, site experience, analytics, customer experience, order fulfillment, content, site merchandising and customer journeys and loving geeking out on them.
Equal parts creative and analytical — You’re capable of developing innovative new digital experiences to delight our customers, while also measuring impact and results through advanced analytics.
A natural builder — You’re nimble and highly adept at working in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to detail. You’re comfortable creating structure and process within ambiguity.
An enthusiastic go-getter — You’re excited to join a company still in its early stages where you can help drive the success of the business while developing your own skill set.
Other Qualifications & Considerations
4-6+ years total experience, with ideally 2-3 years focused on full-lifecycle email marketing
E-commerce brand experience preferred
Deep knowledge of Shopify, Klaviyo, marketing automation tools and web analytics/optimization tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Optimize, Heap)
