We are looking for an outstanding research and development individual to join our bremen team to advance our tof technologyThe suited candidate has a strong background in ion simulations as well as proven hands-on practice in instrumentation.
Aufgaben/verantwortlichkeiten:
Assess, model and characterize inhouse and public domain tof technology, in all depth and dimensions
Grow brukers domain knowledge in tof-ms with interleaving experimental work matching simulation, to improve key performance indicator
Network to the scientific community, establish and drive collaboration
Develop toolboxes like lab or simulation automation allowing to scale up workload
Qualifikationen:
Diploma or phd in physics, engineering or corresponding qualification
Hands-on experience in tof mass spectrometry instrumentation
Proven record in electrical filed simulations, using simion, or comparable software package
Good understanding of mechanical and electronical engineering, especially high voltage and pulsed electrodes
Knowledge and experience in the following areas is a plus:
Ion mobility spectrometry
Ion optics and physics
Python, lua or any comparable lab automation language
Strongly self-organized and self-motivated
Very strong analytic, innovative and clear thinking
Solid scientific english; fluent in spoken and written english
German language is a plus
