Position – Data Engineer (Remote)

Role Description:

Hands-on Google Cloud Data Engineer or Architect (architecture and design skills are a big plus but not required). This person will have experience using GCP technologies to gather the data in the moment and deliver it to other platforms in the most efficient and scalable manner. Primarily, the work will be to use GCP serverless, cloud-native technologies to extract data from Firebase/Firestore and deliver it into Big Query for strategic business analytics.

Hands-on Google Cloud Data Engineer:

Experience designing and building data pipelines from data ingestion to consumption within a hybrid big data architecture, using cloud native GCP technologies and languages such as Python, Java, and SQL.
Experience utilizing Firebase/Firestore and/or JSON documents as data sources.
Experience with BigQuery.

Bonus Points If You Have:

Additional expertise in Cloud DataProc, Cloud Dataflow, PubSub, Cloud Storage Cloud Functions.
Data migration and translation experience from database systems including Oracle & SQL Server.
GCP certifications.
C# experience.
