We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our engineering organization. You will help us continue building a pervasive DevOps culture throughout our engineering organization and collaborate with our software engineering teams to build our next generation of cloud native applications.
What you’ll do:
- Work as a change agent for a DevOps culture at Bluebeam, collaborating and building relationships with software engineering, Quality Assurance and product teams.
- You have an “automate everything attitude” to remove toil and manual processes from our legacy and next generation products.
- Build automation to provide developer autonomy and self-service to enable agility and speed in our SDLC and enable innovation.
- Build and maintain secure automation frameworks (IAC, CI/CD pipeline) and tooling that will be the foundation for our entire engineering organization.
- Collaborate with architecture to analyze and identify the future standards and tools for building our unified cloud platform. Engage in decision making on tools, time estimation and build vs. buy decisions.
- Support legacy technologies and be a part of the solutioning as they migrate to cloud native solutions.
- Support incidents and incident responses to ensure proper follow-up and mitigation.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure quick response and recovery of incidents and issues.
- Provide project progress and communicate project status to partners.
Skills and experience we’d like to see in you:
- 4-5 years of industry experience in an operations or engineering type role.
- Deployment technologies and automation (configuration management and build tools) such as Jenkins (preferred), bamboo, Ansible, Puppet.
- Containerization such as Kubernetes or EKS.
- Serverless technologies (primarily Lambda)
- IAC technologies such as CloudFormation and Terraform
- Strong experience with AWS and the use of AWS services including but not limited to autoscaling, Kinesis, SQS, IAM, and secrets manager.
- Scripting languages like Python, PowerShell or Bash.
- Monitoring and APM tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, SolarWinds, Prometheus.
- Deep experience with Logging tools and log shipping such as ELK and Splunk
- Knowledge of both RDBMS, NoSQL, data warehouse and data platforms such as like MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB
- Experience with system hardening and implementing security controls.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
