We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our engineering organization. You will help us continue building out a pervasive DevOps culture throughout our engineering organization and collaborate with our software engineering teams to build our next generation of cloud native applications.
What you’ll do
- Assist senior architecture and DevOps resources with supporting and implementing CI/CD pipelines to ensure availability, security, and scalability.
- Develop automation and/or scripting to automate repetitive tasks and provide architecture and developers with autonomy and agility.
- Collaborate on research and proof of concepts on common foundational tooling and procedures, building and maintaining secure frameworks and implementing best practices.
- Creating and maintaining proper documentation.
- Assist with infrastructure design and infrastructure-as-code implementations.
- Support legacy technologies and be a part of the solutioning as they migrate to cloud native solutions.
- Create and configure cloud-based environments and services.
- Stakeholder management: provide project progress and communicate project status to partners.
- Learning from your colleagues and teaching them what you know.
What we’d like to see in you
- 1-3 years of industry experience in an operations or engineering type role.
- An engineering/automation mindset with an operations background.
- 1-3 years’ experience with deployment technologies, configuration management and build tools such as Jenkins (preferred), bamboo, Ansible, Puppet.
- 1+ years’ experience with containerization orchestration such as AWS ECS, Kubernetes or AWS EKS.
- 1+ years’ experience with IAC technologies such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Knowledge and some operational experience with AWS and the use of AWS services including but not limited to autoscaling, container orchestration, load balancing, EC2, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS.
- Operational experience with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell or Bash.
- Operational experience with monitoring, its best practices, incident management life cycle, monitoring tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, SolarWinds, Prometheus.
- Experience with logging tools, log shipping and centralized log management such as ELK and Splunk.
- Knowledge of both RDBMS, NoSQL, data warehouse and data platforms such as like MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB.
- Experience with system hardening and implementing security controls.
- Polished emotional intelligence, positive attitude, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
