Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

Beech Valley is looking for a full stack engineer to help us build out the platform powering the future of work in the accounting industry.

Our platform manages over 150,000 applications from accountants looking to join our network, orchestrates the fulfillment process for hundreds of open positions, and gives our clients the tools they need to find the perfect fit for their projects. We have big plans for expanding the platform with brand new functionality, which is where you come in.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on all areas of the Beech Valley platform, from the infrastructure to the backend to the frontend.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our internal and external users to identify pain points and opportunities, propose solutions, and write the code to implement them.
• Develop features using TypeScript, Node, Postgres, GraphQL, and React.
• Create architecture documents for large new features and iterate based on feedback from the team.
• Mentor other team members.
• Come up with a great idea for the business, share it with the team, then start working to execute on it.

Our Tech Stack

Prior experience with all of these tools isn't necessary, but our platform is built with:

• Full stack TypeScript: Node and React
• GraphQL
• Postgres and Elasticsearch
• Heroku, AWS, Terraform, DataDog
• Metabase
• Jest and Cypress

The ideal candidate will:

• Have 3+ years of experience working on production web applications, preferably using Node and a modern SPA framework.
• Have solid knowledge of JavaScript.
• Take deep pride in their work.

Bonus points if:

• You have significant experience with TypeScript, Node, React, and/or GraphQL.
• You have strong SQL skills.
