LOCATIONThis position is located at our reservations office in Culombo, Sri Lanka.
POSITION OVERVIEWThe Reservation Executive - China Market handles reservation enquiries received by any available medium and provides reservations and concierge services over phone and email to Aman portfolio of resorts. Reporting to the Reservations Manager, the successful candidate prepares statistical reports using system resources such as Opera, Salesforce and call management systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Constantly build & discuss with management on techniques / strategies to increase revenue from key markets assigned. (e.g. USA, Japan, Europe East & West, UK, with focus on China & Taiwan)
- Close sales, upsell & cross sell to the best available resources and ability
- Ensure that SOPs are followed and kept refreshed at all times
- Build close relationships with fellow Amansanti's (fellow Aman colleagues) at properties and corporate offices
- Prepare weekly and monthly conversion, occupancy and availability reports. Assist preparing production / occupancy. revenue reports on demand if requested by management
- Quality of service, conversion and accurate data entry on all systems is considered as key in this job role
- Work together with the fellow team members of Aman Central Reservation Team (ACR) and Resorts to ensure highest possible reservation services to all Aman guests and Trade partners etc
- Ensure that the reservations systems and the data entered into the systems are accurate and are aligned with the SOPs in place
- Ensure any and all enquiries received by ACR are looked after as per the guidelines set by the company
- Assist your fellow team members achieve targets and maintain quality of service as one team
- Achieve sales and reservations targets allocated, both room nights and revenue
QUALIFICATIONS- Relevant work experience preferably in a similar role
- Hospitality education preferable
- Understanding of market trends
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
- Computer skills - MS Office, Opera, Fidelio, SynXis systems
- Fluent in English and Mandarin/Cantonese
