POSITION OVERVIEWThe Distribution Rate Executive works alongside the Corporate Revenue Management Team and Hotel Teams on rate configuration and distribution. Reporting to the Senior Distribution Rate Manager, the successful candidate carries out tasks to manage and maintain Opera Cloud/CRS, Channel Manager (SynXis), GDS, Extranets.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Rate loading on to reservation and distribution systems
- Maintain, create deposit and cancellation policies
- Ensure UDFC updates are carried out
- Profile attachments and maintenance
- Ensure SOPs are enforced on data entry standards
- Carry out profile merging and updates
- Communicate with property and front office and central reservations on proactive and reactive basis to ensure rates and policies are maintained current
- Troubleshoot reservations systems, booking channel systems integration issues
- Setup, configure, maintain new property configurations on reservation systems
- Manage group wide inventory on systems
- Coordinate with relevant departments such as IT to carry out any systems support
- Create, Maintain and update SOPs pertaining to the functions carried out
- Ensure proper cataloguing and soring of consonance and documents related to this function
QUALIFICATIONS- Diploma or a degree in hospitality form an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry
- Minimum of 1-year experience in Distribution / Revenue
- Experience with Opera PMS / ORS
- Experience with Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to read and write in English fluently
- Ability to speak other foreign languages is an advantage
- Understanding of market trends
