Algolia is searching for a meticulous and experienced Data Architect to join our talented team. Your central responsibility

as the Data Architect will be to develop, optimize, and oversee our company’s conceptual and logical data systems. Your

duties may include preparing architect reports, monitoring the system, supervising system migrations and optimizing Total Cost of Ownership.

To succeed in this role, you should know how to examine new data system requirements and implement migration models. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience in data analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:

As senior architect you will be responsible for data architecture and data integration at the enterprise level. You will:

Establish and maintain a mature Data Architecture Practice.
Translate business requirements to technical specifications.
Define the data architecture framework, standards and principles.
Define the reference architecture, a pattern others in the organisation can follow to create and improve data systems.
Define data flows, which parts of the organisation generate data, which require data to function, how data flows are managed, and how data changes in transition.
Collaborate and coordinate with the multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, external vendors around organisational objectives.
Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant field.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role and industry
Hands-on experience with components mentioned under Tech Stack
Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining.
Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
Outstanding problem solver.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
EU work permit.
Excellent spoken and written English skills required.
Experience at our current stage and beyond ($50-200M ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure).

TECH STACK:

Data platform: Redshift, Airflow, dbt (transformation & modeling), AWS (S3, EMR, Glue, Athena, Spectrum).
Data collection: Stitch, Segment, Census.
Data analytics: Looker, Tableau CRM (Salesforce Einstein), Google Data Studio, Amplitude.
Data sources: Internal products data, Salesforce, Marketo, Zuora, Stripe.
