The Sr Manager of Product Security (Security Architecture) candidate will have experience building and leading teams of highly technical security engineers and software developers. The ideal candidate will work effectively with product and engineering teams to evaluate and influence product requirements. The ideal candidate will also lead the Security Architecture team to help engineers achieve results, build effective processes, and grow in their careers.
What You'll Do- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of security engineers and software developers.
- Partner with Affirm product teams to ensure that security is included in every phase of the product development lifecycle.
- Lead threat modeling program ensuring that processes and tools are sufficient.
- Lead a software development team in producing product security tooling and secure development resources that can be leveraged by engineering teams.
- Manage escalations needed to ensure product security risks receive the proper visibility.
- Passion and drive to improve security for Affirm customers and build trust.
- 5+ years of experience working as a security engineer or security focussed developer
- 2+ years of experience managing security or developer teams.
- Understanding of continuous integration / continuous deployment processes and tools.
- Experience managing software development projects.
- BS degree in related field or equivalent experience or MS Degree in a technical major (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.)
- Familiarity with the payments ecosystem.
- Comfortable writing code in at least one language.
- Experience producing and presenting technical training materials
Location - Remote (Canada)

The majority of our roles are remote and can be located anywhere in the U.S. and Canada (with the exception of the U.S. Territories, Quebec, Yukon, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories) unless the job indicates a different global location. We are currently building operations in Spain, Poland, and Australia. Employees in remote roles have the option of working remotely or from an Affirm office in their country of hire, and may occasionally travel to an Affirm office or elsewhere for required meetings or team-building events. Our offices in Chicago, New York, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Toronto will remain operational and accessible for anyone to use on a voluntary basis, subject to local COVID-19 guidelines.
