Our Fraud Engineering team’s mission is to defend both consumers and our business by preventing fraud at the point of purchase. We need you to help build our next generation fraud mitigation platform that is flexible enough to respond to scaled fraud attacks while giving legitimate users a frictionless experience.
Are you excited about leading a team to protect our customers from identity theft and account takeover in an adversarial and dynamic environment? Affirm’s Fraud Engineering team is growing and looking for a senior engineering manager to help keep our customers safe.
What You'll Do- Collaborate with our Product, Analytics, and Machine Learning teams to set and execute our risk mitigation strategy
- Recruit and hire talented senior engineers
- Coach, develop, retain, and provide feedback to team members
- Organize the Fraud Engineering team as necessary to fulfill its mandate
- Establish Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to set the engineering team’s direction and measure its success
- Create a long term technical roadmap that enables the team to keep up with our fast growing business
- Build a strong engineering culture around innovation, accountability, empathy, and execution

Location - Remote Canada
Affirm is proud to be a remote-first company! The majority of our roles are remote and can be located anywhere in the U.S. and Canada (with the exception of the U.S. Territories, Quebec, Yukon, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories) unless the job indicates a different global location. We are currently building operations in Spain, Poland, and Australia. Employees in remote roles have the option of working remotely or from an Affirm office in their country of hire, and may occasionally travel to an Affirm office or elsewhere for required meetings or team-building events. Our offices in Chicago, New York, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Toronto will remain operational and accessible for anyone to use on a voluntary basis, subject to local COVID-19 guidelines.
