In this role, you will be responsible for research and development of federal market intelligence, the development of target customer strategy, and for obtaining invitations to customer rfps (request for proposals).
The federal business development consultant will also be expected to travel to customers and conferences to market, promote, and sell specific accura’s products and servicesAdditional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Market research and customer rfp integration
Identify targeted customers in collaboration with internal lines of business and external partners.
Match customer sourcing codes to accura’s core competencies to integrate accura with customer rfps.
Liaise with customers to understand sourcing database - code integration and generate relationships.
Upload all required codes to crm of all required customers.
Ensure successful completion of customer integration.
Track rfp receipt against database uploads to ensure customer engagement.
Track progress and provide routine reporting internally as well as to external partners.
Business development and customer relationship management
Establish a customer and conference attendance schedule with management.
Attend conferences and market existing accura’s products and services
Generate, validate, and advance sales leads.
Convert leads to sales with an emphasis on long term customer contracts for federal personnel.
Manage customer relationships to drive additional sales, organic growth, and cross-selling opportunities.
Required skills/abilities: the ideal candidate for the federal business development consultant role is both driven and curious and has an appropriate balance of creative problem solving and structured process repetitionThe candidate must meet the following criteria:
Proven working experience and a track record of success performing the responsibilities associated with this role.
Expert ability in ms office, writing proposals and formulating reliable proforma.
Communication and negotiations skills
Ability to build rapport.
Time management and planning skills
Education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree, in related fields (engineering, environmental or construction) is a plus.
3-5 years’ experience in sales and marketing for federal personnel within an engineering, environmental, and construction services role.
