Job Purpose
LTK (formerly Like.to.Know.it and RewardStyle) is looking for a best-in-class Senior Editor to help us reimagine our content strategy for web and email. Our role as the consumer-focused digital marketing team is to help new customers understand what we already know — the value of shopping through talented creators who can help you figure out how to cuff your jeans to wear with booties, discover the perfect morning skincare routine, tell you about all the best sales and clue you in on the perfect pair of leggings. The person in this role must be passionate about creator commerce and our current verticals (fashion, beauty, home, fitness). You must be nimble and eager to scale the LTK brand in a complex and evolving environment. You are a self-starter, creative thinker, and are always up-to-date on the latest trends. This role reports to our Managing Editor.
Responsibilities
- Translate campaign briefs generated in-house into long-form written content to help us drive discovery through SEO and growth through our email and push channels. Content themes will align with our most popular verticals today (fashion, beauty, home, fitness), but will extend to additional categories in 2022.
- Be part of the team that reimagines LTK on web and creates a first of its kind shopping experience that pairs creator expertise with a best-in-class e-commerce experience.
- Write short form web, email and in-app content for consumer-facing campaigns.
- Suggest scripts and treatments for videos to align with campaign objectives and suggest treatments / write copy for social first videos and other assets as needed.
- React in real-time to optimized content based on campaign and daily shopping analytics insights.
- Edit the work of 1-2 junior editors and ensure all content follows channel best practices and brand voice and tone guidelines.
- Meet deadlines and ensure junior editors and freelancers do the same.
- Building your own stories within our CMS from start to finish (interviews, writing, editing, photo selection, adding links, publishing, QA etc.) will sometimes be required. Sometimes we can tap into creative team resources for various parts of that process.
- Much of our work will be planned in advance, but must have the ability to write/edit quickly on deadline as cultural moments and/or changes to our strategy based on real-time data arise.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of content/marketing experience. (Digital portfolio with recent examples of work required.) At least a year of that experience should be in one of our verticals (fashion, home, beauty, fitness). Previous editorial experience in a role covering fashion, home or beauty strongly preferred.
- 1-2 years experience managing copywriters/ freelance writers and shaping their work preferred.
- Experience with content management systems — specific experience with Hubspot, Wordpress or Braze — a plus!
- Must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage your own work and time seamlessly.
- Strong work ethic and understanding that the work of our high-growth team does not always happen from 9-5.
