Overview: am has an immediate opening for a full time vice president of clinical operations to support public health and health services programming nationwideThis position will begin immediatelyThe candidate will work remotely from a home office with the possibility of 10% travelResponsibilities: clinical operations
Lead and manage cross-functional team resources to maintain clinical operations on time, on budget, in compliance, and of the highest quality.
Provides strategic, tactical, and operational input to the operations team to ensure appropriate planning and to drive better decision making.
Ensure that clinical operations processes, systems and tools are standardized and being utilized, and adequately meet the needs of staff and stakeholders.
Initiate continuous process improvements for program initiatives, procedures, and processes to align with evidence-based best practices.
Maintain awareness of overall developments and benchmarks in clinical operations and share best practices with the leadership team to drive change and improvement.
Guide the clinical operations team to enable efficient and high quality execution of programs and projects.
Reports to chief operating officer.
Strategize and facilitate clinical and public health practice support to the implementation team and project teams.
Develop clinical and public health practice workflows to ensure consistency of service delivery.
Oversee the clinical consultant program to facilitate expert, accessible support to am programs and projects.
Serve as subject matter expert (sme) on health services to implementation team, project teams, training and continuing education team, program development team, proposal writing team, and leadership team.
Maintain awareness of local, state, and federal mandates, policies, and standards related to clinical operations.
Work collaboratively with the implementation team to establish health and safety compliance requirements upon initiation of each project.
Oversee employee health and safety, training, and project-level collaboration to meet compliance requirements.
Ensure project leadership and teams comply with all relevant regulatory statutes and standards.
Consult with legal services to seek clarification on compliance issues.
Oversee insurance requirements related to services being provided.
Collaborate with human resources and talent acquisition to ensure appropriate licensing requirements are included in job descriptions and candidate selection.
Facilitate credentialing of health care providers, as appropriate.
Employee health and safety
Oversee am employee health functions ensuring rigorous standards, evidence-based practice, and compliance.
Strategize project management of various employee health and safety functions and initiatives.
Maintain awareness of local, state, and federal requirements related to employee health and safety.
Oversee the development and maintenance of policies and procedures consistent with occupational safety and health administration (osha) and state-level regulations related to occupational safety and health.
Program development support
Work collaboratively with the program development team to construct new programs and service lines.
Work with the program development team to refine programming to meet the evolving needs of clients and customers.
Work collaboratively with the proposal team to strategize proposals and provide guidance on operational aspects of scopes of services.
Identify opportunities for health services sector growth and develop new programs to align with these opportunities.
Qualifications: educational and professional requirements:
Master’s degree preferred
Bachelor’s degree required
10+ years of healthcare or public health experience, demonstrating increasing responsibility and leadership
Pmp, lean six sigma or similar certification preferred
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Robust creative drive and ability to generate new ideas and innovative solutions
Able to prioritize effectively and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Critical thinking and sound judgment required
Ability to speak, read, and write english
Experience with google suite
Experience with project management applications
Must have a quiet, dedicated workspace
